Studi Intertekstual Kedatangan Kristus Kedua Kali Berdasarkan 1 Tesalonika 4:16-17 Dengan Matius 24:30-31

Abstrak

The purpose of this study is to explore and discover the truth in the text through identifying intertextual aspects in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 and Matthew 24:29-31. Furthermore, the implications of the results of the intertextual study are examined in Christian theological thought regarding the second coming of Christ. Using a qualitative method with an intertextual study approach, the author examines two texts with different authors but both discuss the second coming of Christ. The results of this study have implications for various theological studies such as hermeneutics, soteriology, Christology, bibliology, and Christian apologetics. That the second coming of Christ will indeed occur as witnessed by the Bible, although some people doubt this. From this intertextual study, it was found that the event of the second coming of Christ is a definite event whose way is foretold and occurs at the end of time.
